Warner Bros has signed Alec Baldwin to play the role of Thomas Wayne, Batman's father, within the enormously anticipated, but to be titled The Joker origins movie, reports Variety. Joaquin Phoenix is already on board to play the titular person within the movie, which is expected to hit the screens in 2019.
Todd Phillips, who are satisfactorily referred to as the author of The Hangover franchise, is writing and directing the film. He is also co-generating the challenge in collaboration with Martin Scorsese.
